             abstract = "The present study has the objective to use the remote sensing in 
                         the mapping of permanent preservation areas of the Inha{\'u}ma 
                         Rivers hydrographic basin PE/AL. The remote sensing offers a 
                         greater speed and objectivity in the process because brings a 
                         greater number of data for analysis, it can be a basis to current 
                         and future planning and provides information to the control and 
                         knowledge of the area in question. In the data fomentation was 
                         used satellite images obtained by LANDSAT-5 and provided by USGS. 
                         The images treatment was made with the software ARCGIS 10.2.2, as 
                         well as the altimetric data of ASTER GDEM with resolution of 30 
                         meters. All the data was used with the objective of to extract the 
                         greatest number of information for a better understanding of the 
                         study object and serves of contribution to the current sciences 
                         theoretical framework about the study area.",
